Lake Forest Historic Property

Originally constructed in 1869 as the barn for a neighboring estate, this is one of Lake Forest's oldest surviving structures. In 1915, renowned architect David Adler transformed it into a distinguished single-family residence. Honoring Adler's vision and the home's French Empire heritage, the landscape was designed around a formal central axis with symmetrical gardens and paths, antique fountain, sculpted boxwoods, and naturalistic flowering plantings all to balance structure with softness. In collaboration with Mariani Landscaping and Lisa Wolfe Design.
