Chicago - Penthouse

From the top of this Millennium Park hi-rise, there were only two requirements: make it an entertaining mecca for the couple’s many endeavors and let them wake up to views of the Mag Mile.

To achieve the new master bedroom, we gutted and redesigned the entire back half of the condo to carve out new space. The goal was to provide a more natural flow in the overall footprint and to bring light in to an otherwise dark cavernous space. Every detail from the arched bedroom ceiling to the windows in the domed hallway to the Master bathroom that walks out into the garden was designed to bring the outdoors inside and connect to nature right outside.

The rest of the home was thoughtfully repurposed to ensure guests were comfortable and surprised as they moved throughout the open floor plan – from the curved glass screening room to the double sided fireplace to the floor cushions by the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the park.
